ABRAHAM LINCOLN SIGNED PRESIDENTIAL DOCUMENT Partially printed military commission SIGNED AS PRESIDENT by Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of the United States, dated 3rd July 1862, appointing Jeremiah B. Brinton as "Assistant Surgeon in the service of the United States" from 16th April 1862; also signed by Edwin M. Stanton, Secretary of War. Framed with a photo print of Lincoln and a plaque giving a short synopsis of Lincoln's actions during the Civil War and Jeremiah Brinton's role at Gettysburg. Brinton, of Alexandria, VA, was sent to Gettysburg as 'Acting Medical Purveyor.' There he obtained medical supplies for over 100,000 troops on both sides -
