ENGLISH SILVER MILK JUG, LONDON 1768, AND A FRENCH SILVER PLATED BEAKER the milk jug of pear shape with repousse flowers and vacant oval cartouche, all set atop three shell-topped splayed feet, scrolling foliate handle, maker's marks unclear and old monogram under one foot, 3.15 ozt; a French tumbler bearing the mark of Pierre Gavard (1886-1895) and no other marks, h: 3.25 in.; and a pair of B&M silver casters (4)

Literature: Pierre Gavard was located at 49 rue Meslay, and was succeeded by Henri Lapeyre.
