the obi of woven damask material, the first woven with a design of cranes, pine and chrysanthemum bands, unlined), w: 23 1/4 in., the next, damask woven with cranes in flight spaced with fans depicting interior scenes and flowering chrysanthemum, w: 12 3/4 in., the third, woven with silver and gold threads depicting geese in flight above wave bands, orange lining, w: 12 in., and the fourth, woven in tones of silver, gilt and copper on a cream ground, with tachibana (orange) and pine by arched wooden bridges, with flowering chrysanthemum, bamboo, lilies and rockery, cream lining, w: 12 in.
