the simple shaped cup with engraved ribbon wreath with presentation inscription 'Presented by the Montreal Florist Society to Mr. John Teasdale for producing the best Polyanthus 1813', with English hallmarks to side for London 1814?, maker possibly Joseph Newcomb, a similar mark is not illustrated in Grimwade, who ascribes it to John Nixon

Another cup, of similar inscription and proportions, also awarded to John Teasdale 1812, is in the Royal Ontario Museum Collections. 982.10.4.

  • Condition: Small dents; marks lightly rubbed; underside appears to have been scratched for testing
