Catalogue note:
Mount Vernon writes that there are two possibilities as to who may have manufactured paper for Washington. James F. Magee and Henry Schutz both ran paper mills in Pennsylvania and paper from them has been found at Mount Vernon.

  • Very lightly browned, light brown marks to lower left, two tiny burn marks at upper left, fold lines; framed double side with significant loss to sheet at right side, edges folded over, likely to fit frame
