GROUP OF FOUR CONTINENTAL CUPS AND SAUCERS, MID-19TH CENTURY including a German cup and saucer, the cup polychrome painted with a domed building on a gilt and yellow ground, incised 802; a Berlin covered cup and saucer by F.A. Schumann, with polychrome floral sprays within gilt garlands on a white ground, with underglaze blue factory mark; a Schlaggenwald cup and saucer by Lippert & Haas, with a spray of blue flowers on a white ground, with underglaze blue S mark; and a German motto cup inscribed in German 'Be Happy Even in Old Age', possibly Tettau, with underglaze blue T mark, h: (of cups) from 3 to 5.5 in.
