PORCELAIN COMMEDIA DELL’ARTE FIGURE OF PANTALONE late 19th/20th Century, blue crossed lines mark and impressed S, after a model by Johann Joachim Kaendler of 1741, based on an engraving by Francois Joullain by Jacques Callot, circa 1728, depicted bending forward, his hands tucked under his long white cloak, wearing a black hat, red tunic, matching breeches and yellow shoes with red bows, the mound base applied with leaves, h: 5.5 in.
