Brown and Brown; Charles Brown (1749-1795) and his brother William (1748-1825) were gem engravers who exhibited at the Royal Academy and were active in the Russian market. The subjects include classical scenes as well as a figure holding a shield reading "Russia"; varying sizes - largest h: 2.25 in.

Provenance: Part of a medallion collection that descended in the family of a British Tassie collector.
