TWO CHINESE PAINTED POTTERY HORSES AND RIDERS, TANG DYNASTY the first with polychrome to horse and rider, with the female rider wearing a tall headdress and with a fan in her hands, seated upon a red horse standing foursquare on a small rectangular base, h: 13.75 in.; the other with only faint polychrome and gilt traces, also ridden by a female equestrienne, the horse with molded caparison, bridle and wide saddle cloth, standing foursquare on small base, h: 13.25 in.
