AMERICAN BONE AND ROPE CRADLE, CIRCA 1753 the rocking cradle carved with a heart on either end, the date 1753 and a star inlaid with bone on one side, rope tied through the bottom - h: 19.75 x w: 36.5 x d: 22 in.

Said to have been used for Henry Bedinger (1753-1843), a Revolutionary War soldier who served in Virginia rifle companies and the Virginia Continental Line from July 1775 to the close of the war -
