Framed; lower right signed: Benson B. Moore; verso exhibition label; . Moore was Born in Washington D.C. and lived there for 70 years, many of his greatest paintings were of the region. Foxall (as it was originally spelled) was one of his favorite areas to set up his easel. This particular rendition of Foxall was painted in 1923 when Moore turned to his Impressionistic style.
