PORCELAIN MALE FIGURE FROM INDIA WITH TURKEY FOR THE WEDDING PROCESSION, 'INDER MIT TRUTHAHN AUS DEM HOCHZEITSZUG' dated 1912, blue scepter mark, impressed M U 966, after the model by Adolph Amberg (1874-1913) of 1908, depicted as a striding youth in turban and short wrapped sarong, trailing a large trussed bird, on an oval mound base, h: 10.75 in.

Literature: Between 1904-1910, an elaborate bridal processional table garniture was designed by Adolph Amberg for the wedding of Prussian Crown Prince Wilhelm to Duchess Cecilie of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. The surtout-de-table includes attendant figures from many nations gathering about the bride in the guise of Europa.
