of Whieldon type, probably Staffordshire or Yorkshire, both of typical form with slightly evert lip, sponged overall in manganese and splashed with copper-green and blue-grey oxides under a lead glaze (2)

  • Dimensions: Height of teabowl: 2 in. (5.1 cm.), Diameter of saucer: 5 1/8 in. (13 cm.)
  • Condition: teabowl: minor crazing throughout, particularly to interior bottom of cup, minor nibbles to rim of base
    saucer: small hairline surface crack (2 cm.) underneath.
