CHINESE BLANC-DE-CHINE FIGURE OF GUANYIN Qing dynasty, (18th century), Pu zhi yu ren (Virtue extends to all, even fishermen) impressed four-character seal mark on back, the serene deity modelled seated wearing voluminous robes, her left arm balanced on a claw-footed rest and holding a ruyi sceptre, her other arm balanced on her knee, wearing an upswept coiffure with a small diadem and hair pin in her chignon, her gaze downcast - h:9.50 in.

Literature: A similar example with the same mark is illustrated in Blanc de Chine by P.J. Donnelly (New York: Praeger, 1967), pl. 85, all with the same Fisherman mark.
