CHINESE EXPORT ARMORIAL CHARGER FOR THE BELGIAN MARKET, QIANLONG
for the Belgian market, the central roundel finely enameled with the arms of Jacques-Gérard de Knyff of Antwerp and Brussels in silver, gilt and famille rose as a large armorial device with two lions on either side of a shield, within gilt spearhead band and wider pink diaper band with four spaced panels enclosing trailing lotus, gilt highlights, the rim painted with gilt flowers and foliage interspersed with flowers in vase, painted in gilt and en grisaille

  • Dimensions: Diameter: 12 3/4 in. (32.4 cm.)
  • Condition: Overall good condition but some old staining between device and spearheads at '6' (from the firing, look like mineral spots). Slight wear to gilt and enamels. Old Christie's stickers to reverse.
