CHINESE RED LACQUER, PAINTED AND PARCEL-GILT FIVE PANEL SCREEN early 20th Century, five panels in carved wood, red and gilt lacquer, five upper sections decorated with figures within a palace courtyard setting, the five registers of the lower section are carved with familiar Chinese motifs within a decorated cartouche, all surrounded by applied pierced border decoration, the verso is in black lacquer with painted decoration, shaped apron below, box legs fitted with floral embossed brass cups, h: 86.5 in., four panels w: 25 in., one panel w: 30 in.
