the jug with spout and handle and distinctive incised geometric decoration, purchased from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1926 described as "jug, scratched decoration, 3000-2000 B.C.", h: 5 x dia: 3 in.; Roman pottery oil lamp, with concentric circles enclosing a scallop shell and scroll volutes flanking the nozzle, possibly one of three Roman lamps purchased from the Metropolitan in 1926, with Christie's New York sale label, 8900 lot 133, 3/4 x 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 in.
