EARLY 1900S TRAVEL POSTCARD ALBUM WITH ALMOST 300 CARDS, BY ESTONIAN IMMIGRANT AUGUST J. LUCK [LUIK] travel postcard album created from cards sent to and from August J. Luck [or Luik], b. circa 1873, an Estonian immigrant to Long Beach, CA. Luck traveled across America starting in the early 1900s, sending color and b/w postcards to friends and family in the US and abroad. 295 cards dating from the late 1890s to early 1920s, most before 1910. Incl. real photo post card of Luck posing with members of a Native American tribe in Arizona, dated Sept. 8, 1905; postcards of President Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln; 11 postcards from the Louisiana Purchase Exposition, 1904; bathers and Luna Park at Coney Island; the Grand Canyon; the ruins of San Francisco after the Great Fire and "Feeding the Hungry" in Golden Gate Park; the Red Room of the White House, 1910; gelatin silver real photo cards showing destinations in Europe and Estonia. In album with decorative cover, with some cards cancelled in Estonia, Russia and Europe
