  • Provenance:
    Sold by the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley to benefit acquisition and conservation funds. Estate of Julian Wood Glass, Jr. (1910-1992) of Winchester, Virginia; New York, New York; and Tulsa, Oklahoma.
  • Dimensions: Height of column: 22 1/2 in. (57.15 cm.), Overall height: 36 in. (91.44 cm.)
  • Condition: Cracks, restoration, alterations; abrasion on one side of column has worn down raised decoration, brass plating is worn at spool at base of column and is beginning to show base metal, lower pedestal has several cracks where the two elements meet, base is exhibiting same plating loss as mentioned above
