ENAMEL AND SILVER CIGARETTE CASE AND VESTA, EARLY 20TH CENTURY
rectangular blue and argentium silver cigarette case, stamped 935, with front and back deep blue panels of enamel inset with silver stars, the frames lined on both sides with seed pearls; red guilloche enamel vesta with white enamel circles along all edges, stamped 925 (2)

  • Provenance:
    Estate of Shirley Z. Johnson, board member of the National Museum of Asian Art
  • Condition: Enamel on cigarette case scratched, some seed pearls missing. Interior of cigarette case has oval unread mark, and line of wear to gilt. Vesta case marked to inside rim, marked 925 and another mark looks 'double stamped.' Both need a gentle clean.
