ENGLISH CREAMWARE ‘TORTOISESHELL’ FOOTED TEAPOT AND COVER circa 1750-1760, Staffordshire, attributed to Thomas Whieldon, of globular form with curved foliate molded spout, scroll handle and mushroom finial, the shoulder applied with a band of scrolling foliage above chinoiserie figures on trellis, potted plants and a bird, raised on three lion feet, splashed overall in green, brown and ochre-yellow, h: 5 5/8 x l: 8 in.
