ENGLISH CREAMWARE RETICULATED FACE MASK JUG, AN ENGLISH CREAMWARE MODEL OF A SQUIRREL AND TWO ANIMAL BOXES AND COVERS circa 1760-70, Staffordshire, the jug probably William Greatbatch, the squirrel probably Thomas Whieldon; the first of barrel form with face mask spout, pierced gallery and ear-shaped handle, striated overall in green, yellow and grey and speckled manganese, h: 3 in.; the creamware squirrel modeled eating a nut, h: 2.5 in.; the duck-form box and cover, circa 1800, modeled preening, l: 3.75 in.; the Staffordshire frog-form box and cover, 19th Century, modeled resting on a lily pad base, l: 3.75 in.
