ENGLISH PEARLWARE DATED AND INSCRIBED MOTTO JUG dated 1790, probably Staffordshire, finely painted with a pastoral village centering a tall tree above a yellow harvest moon, inscribed beneath the spout to 'James, Terrill, Jovial fellows drink about For we'll have more when This is out 1790', the obverse with a harvest trophy above the motto, 'Success to the Grain Return'd', the mouth rim banded in yellow and black and trimmed in blue with pendants, h: 9 in.
