FOUR WEDGWOOD DEEP-BLUE DIP JASPERWARE POLISHED-EDGE MEDALLIONS circa 1789, impressed uppercase marks, each circular, applied with a white relief including two from the 'German' series celebrating the accession and virtues of Leopold II, each with a broad anthemion border, dia. 2 3/8 in.; a third with emblematic figures commemorating the Fall of the Bastille, dated 1789, dia: 2 in.; and a French Revolutionary medallion depicting Liberty holding a cornucopia and a staff supporting a Phrygian cap, beneath a columnar arch beside a resting Bourbon shield, the border inscribed in Latin, 'EN! QUAM SAEPE OPTASTIS, LIBERTAS', dia: 2 3/8 in. (4)
