GARDNER FACTORY COLORED-BISCUIT PORCELAIN FIGURE GROUP OF A PEASANT MAN AND CHILD Verbilki near Moscow, 1870-1890, iron-red printed St. George warrant mark and impressed Cyrillic Gardner insignia mark, impressed 6, after the model by A.K. Shpis, depicted as a hunter striding in fringed cloak, black coat, white shirt, grey breeches, leather gaiters and boots, holding a young barefoot girl on his shoulder, a downed fawn at his feet, supported by a tree stump, on a cylindrical mound base, edged in black, h: 11 3/8 in.
