Description:

GEORGE III SILVER BARREL-SHAPED TEAPOT, LONDON 1788, WILLIAM VINCENT
the oval pot, cast as a barrel with facsimile staves and reeded horizontal rings, with ringed upswept spout, scalloped rim, wood finial and handle, 15.7 ozt gross

  • Condition: As visible in photos the teapot is tarnished and needs a good clean. I realized upon closer inspection there is a small armorial device and monogramed cartouche between the first and second row of horizontal binding, but it obscured by tarnish. Wood finial is loose and needs to be tightened. Tip of spout every slightly uneven. When filled with water this teapot does not leak.
