Catalogue note:
General Powell and Secretary Madeleine Albright were the inaugural recipients of the award in 2016, with Powell receiving the award at a special event on December 7, 2016. The medal "recognizes lifetime contributions that embody American ideals and ideas" and is "1.85 oz. of fine gold."
