GROUP OF SEVEN PIECES OF JAPANESE IMARI WARES, 19TH CENTURY AND LATER including a punch bowl, the interior centered by an underglaze blue and white roundel depicting Shochikubai (Three Friends of Winter) enclosed within a paneled border of alternating brocade and patterned bands, gilt highlights, dia: 9.75 in.; a dish with central blue and white floral roundel within flower and brocade panels, gilt highlights, dia: 8.5 in.; a fluted low bowl, the interior with central Shochikubai enclosed by alternating patterned panels, the reverse with blue and white ribbon-tied Buddhistic emblems, dia: 6.25 in.; another similar but modern example, dia: 5 7/8 in.; a rice bowl and a cover, decorated with pine and prunus in shaped cartouches on lozenge-patterned ground, the cover with spurious 'chop' marks, dia: 4.5 in.; a fluted cup with two panels of prunus design, dia: 3 1/8 in., together with a small rectangular dish with incurved corners, with a transfer printed design of ho-o and scrolling foliage, sealed under base, w: 6.75 in.
