Catalogue note: Active in Oregon; specialty Landscapes, figurative, murals. From the 1940s to the 1960s Hal Bishop created murals for buildings in Medford. Many of those structures have been razed, leaving only a few surviving murals on canvas. Some of his smaller painting can still be found. His large paintings depicted scenes from Oregon's history and the area surrounding Medford.
