MEISSEN PORCELAIN FIGURE OF A FEMALE CERAMIC WORKER, 'KERAMIKARBEITERIN' date cypher for 1958, blue crossed swords and impressed Weiss marks, incised model no. H. 237, and impressed 121+, after the model by Elfriede Reichel-Drechsler, in the white, the young worker depicted standing holding a porcelain bowl in her right hand, wearing a hooded sleeveless dress and bare feet, a large vase at her heels, on a shaped square base, h: 13 in.

Literature: Elfriede Reichel-Drechsler (1923-2009), was a painter and sculptor at the Academy of Dresden, active at Meissen (1957-1970), known for genre figures and animal studies.
