MINTON DESSERT PLATE FROM QUEEN VICTORIA'S DESSERT SERVICE, 1850-1851, RETAILED BY MORTLOCK verso with printed retailer's mark, having a white ground with central royal cipher VA within a rose wreath, the turquoise border with undulating band of roses and forget-me-nots, dia: 9.5 in.; together with two English plates, the first a dessert plate with crest of Hamilton of Newton centered by a banner inscribed Fideltier and cipher EH, within a gilt and turquoise border, retailed by Daniell, London, dia: 9 in.; the second, circa 1840, made for the Reverend Charles Doughty of Theberton Hall, with armorial for Doughty impaling Hotham, below a banner inscribed 'Palma non Sine Pulvere', within a turquoise border and gilt decorated molded edge, dia: 10 in.
