NYMPHENBURG PORCELAIN FIGURE OF A MONGOL SCHOLAR WITH TEABOWL AND A NYMPHENBURG PORCELAIN FIGURE OF A BURMESE MAN mid-20th Century, printed green and impressed Bavarian shield marks to bases and undersides, impressed model nos. 965 and 977, Pressnummern 0 and 3, after the models by Maria Delago, the scholar depicted standing and lightly blowing on a cup of tea balanced in his right hand, wearing a knopped blue fez and traditional iron-red undergarment and black-lined blue robes; the Birman, with blue painter's E. 529 LW, depicted standing in deep contemplation, cradling a Buddhist food offering vessel, Hsun Ok, in two hands, wearing a green turban and traditional blue, green and ochre striated robes, both on a circular slab base, h. 8 in.
