PAIR OF SEVRES STYLE NAPOLEONIC PLATES Late 19th/ early 20th century, bearing crowned N and spurious Sevres marks, one with Napoleon and Josephine and the other with a battle scene, both indistinctly signed within green borders enriched with gilt military motifs -- 9.5 in. dia.

Provenance: Estate of John Claiborne Davis, Former Teacher and Administrator, St. Albans School

  • Condition: One completely shattered and restuck, but missing chips. The other plate with small restored chip at 8 o'clock, and associated crack extending from the chip.
