Description:

PAIR OF SINO-TIBETAN GILT-BRONZE LAMAS, TSONGKAPA, QING DYNASTY (19TH CENTURY)
each religious man seated and modeled cross-legged on a 'fabric' covered low base, enamel painted eyes, sealed under base with vajra (2)

  • Dimensions: Height: 5 3/4 in. (14.61 cm.)
  • Condition: Condition pretty good. Easy to see in photos. One tablet comes off, but fits right on correctly. Other tablet is loose, but fixed to body. Both bases are sealed and bear old Christie's Hong Kong tags. Wear and some small losses to gilt. Bases are very slightly out of shape, but this is commensurate with use and age.
