    Possibly original to The Octagon, Washington, D.C.
    Acquired by the Octagon in 1972 from the estate of Tayloe Rogers and considered to be original Octagon furnishings. His descent is as follows: Col. John Tayloe III (1771-1828) the builder of Octagon House, to George Plater Tayloe (1804-1897) to Virginia Tayloe Rogers (1848-1929) to Tayloe Rogers (1881-1972).
  • Dimensions: 29 3/4 x 38 3/4 x 18 3/4 in. (75.6 x 98.4 x 47.6 cm.)
  • Condition: One heavily faded with worming, dents, scratches, stains
