PAIR OF WEDGWOOD BLACK BASALT 'ENCAUSTIC-DECORATED' TWO-HANDLED VASES 19th Century, impressed uppercase marks and A, iron-red No. 111 to both, in the Antique Attic style, of hydria form flanked by tubular bracket handles, each center enameled in iron-red, black and sepia, with either Apollo, Eros and the Muses or the Rape of the daughters of Leucippus by the Dioscuri, Castor and Pollux, within anthemion borders, a large palmette on the reverse, on a circular socle, h: 12 x w: 12 1/2 in.
