In his book, Capturing Nature in Watercolor (1980), the artist Philip Duane Jamison explains his personal philosophy of art and his discovery of watercolor painting as his true medium. Jamison also reflects on the artists that influenced him, including: Andrew Wyeth, Winslow Homer, and Edward Hopper, evidenced in this painting "Studio Window."
