REGENCY TOLE PEINTE COPPER HOT WATER URN WITH GEORGE III SILVER MONOGRAMMED CARTOUCHE
partial hallmarks to silver cartouche: London 1790-1810, maker's mark possibly of William Abdy, the urn of compressed spherical form, lined with white metal, all rising from a central flaring brass column, with brass bands to rims and shoulder, and brass lions' heads with loose rings to body, the domed cover with brass urn-form finial and spigot to body, all painted with deep brown paint over the copper body, and all atop a stepped square painted base on four spherical brass feet, with central heating element and white metal cover

  • Dimensions: Height: 18 in. (45.7 cm.)
  • Condition: In very good condition overall. Some slight scuffing to paint on body, and two thin scuffs, one to each side above the silver cartouche, and one above. Cartouche is tarnished. Interior pieces fit correctly. Could use a careful clean as slightly dusty and tarnished.
