Literature: From 1904 to 1909, Frederick Hurten Rhead was the Art Director of the Roseville Pottery. He is directly associated with the Della Robbia line. As director, he is also noted as designing or over-seeing the design of the Donatello, Mostique and Paule lines. The Donatello line was introduced in 1916 after his departure. The Rosecraft line was introduced in 1921.
