21 Royal Worcester Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester Royal Porcelain Works, marked on reverse "Royal Porcelain Works/ Flight, Barr & Barr/ Worchester (sic) & Coventry St. London", Worcester, England, porcelain with gilding and scalloped edges (21)

  • Provenance:
    Sold by the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley to benefit acquisition and conservation funds. Estate of Julian Wood Glass, Jr. (1910-1992) of Winchester, Virginia; New York, New York; and Tulsa, Oklahoma.
  • Dimensions: Diameter: 10 1/2 in. (26.67 cm.)
  • Condition: Deaccessioned examples have slightly more wear, loss of gilding, etc. All plates are dinner size: 10.5 in diameter. No other sizes. In set, there are 40 small chips to underside of plates, and 7 small chips to edges or tops, but these are mostly on 3 plates and the chips are small, Minimal gilt loss and enamels good, no stacking wear or knife marks.
