SEVRES STYLE COBALT BLUE GROUND NAPOLEONIC CHARGER late 19th Century, spurious iron-red M. Imple de Sevres stenciled mark, signed Gillou twice, depicting Napoleon and his staff returning from Soissons after the Battle of Laon, 1864, within gilt ribbon-tied laurel on the blue ground, the rim with gilt line, pierced for hanging, dia: 17.25 in.

Provenance: Estate Sale of David Belasco, circa 1831, New York, Theatrical Impresario and Producer (1853-1931). Purchased by parents at Estate Sale by descent to the present owner
