See David Barker and Pat Halfpenny, Unearthing Staffordshire, p. 41, no. 22, for a teapot of like type. Here noted, "The attribution of this piece is dependent upon the exact match of the sprigged designs with those excavated at Fenton Vivian. The cover, with its upright flower knop with leaves at its base, is particularly distinctive, being one of the most common types of tortoiseshell cover found on the site."
