    Similar decoration on a coffee-pot is illustrated by David Barker and Pat Halfpenny in "Unearthing Staffordshire" (1990). This type of low-relief sprigged decoration is generally achieved using a metal mold. For a similarly sprigged teapot see Potomack, September 30, 2021, lot 2198.

  • Condition: Tiny hole/casting flaw to foliage on cover; nibbles to inner rim; spout & handles slightly darkened.
