  • Provenance: Bookplate of George L. Balcolm (1819-1900), longtime resident of Claremont, New Hampshire, he was a prominent woolen manufacturer, member of the state legislature, and avid book collector.
  • Condition: Later bookplate pasted over Balcolm bookplate in each volume, some do not have bookplates, shelf wear, some scratches, dust staining, scattered browning and light foxing
