TWELVE EARLY 19TH CENTURY DOCUMENTS AND MANUSCRIPT LETTERS FROM AARON HARMON AND WILLIAM TRUE OF ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA 12 documents mostly circa 1819, relating to the boot and shoe makers, Aaron Harmon and William True, who had a shop on the NW corner of King and Fairfax Streets in Alexandria, Virginia. Includes correspondence between Capt. Aaron Harmon and his brother, Daniel Harmon (1778-1848) who was a soldier in the War of 1812, a Methodist leader and trial judge at or near Bowdoin College; a letter to Aaron Harmon from Zebulon Harmon discussing the "floundering situation" of Augusta (KY) College and four bills of lading for leather shipped from Philadelphia and Boston, etc.; h: 12 1/4 x w: 7 1/5 in.
