TWO CHINESE EXPORT TEAPOTS, QING DYNASTY (18TH AND 19TH CENTURIES) the first, an underglaze blue and white teapot decorated with brocade to top and cover and a narrow band around foot, highlighted with a gilt pendant cartouche, woven handle and gilt bands and wavy leafy sprays, with scattered small flowerheads, the cover chained to the handle, h: 5.5 in.; a Rose Medallion teapot of similar shape to previous, decorated in typical bright style with alternating panels of figures and birds and flowers all reserved on a leaf and flower ground, h: 6 in.; together with a facing pair of blanc de chine-type standing Guanyin dressed in flowing robes and each holding a lotus in one hand, and the other hand raised, both attached to carved wood bases, h: 12 in.
