the first, of smaller size, the fan painted with two oval portraits of Marie Antoinette and a central oval cartouche enclosing Marie Antoinette and a child kneeling at her feet, in a manicured landscape, trimmed with applied small sequins and a garland of pink roses, with fourteen sticks painted with gilt fleur-de-lys and two end guard sticks, w: 13 1/4 in. (sight size); and an openwork tulle or silk fan painted in central panel with three ladies and a child in a park, flanked by small rectangular landscape cartouches, all with gilt sequin swags, scrolls and foliage, with sixteen carved tortoise or resin sticks and two carved guard sticks, w: 17 in. sight size (unexamined out of frame) (2)
