TWO INSIDE PAINTED GLASS SNUFF BOTTLES AND A PAIR OF CHINESE CLOISONNE ENAMEL VASES, MODERN
the first snuff bottle of flattened rounded form, apparently of Japanese manufacture, with two beauties wearing kimonos under a weeping willow, the reverse depicting a willow tree, all on pale yellow ground, unsigned, h: 2 1/4 in.; the second snuff bottle of Chinese manufacture, of rectangular form, signed with two characters to upper left shoulder, with a design of a mother and child to one side, the other side, also with inscription, of a galloping horse by pine tree, h: 3 in.; with a pair of small baluster vases decorated with branches of flowers all reserved on a black ground, h: 6 1/2 in. (4)

  • Condition: Pair of cloisonne vases with scratches to brass under bases, wood stands are distressed. Chinese snuff has faint and worn calligraphy.
