TWO SIMILAR CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE BOWLS, QING DYNASTY, CIRCA 1880 the first, painted on the exterior with a continuous design of butterflies and flowers with four "double happiness" characters in iron red, apocryphal mark in underglaze blue under foot, the interior painted with a bat and a peach, dia: 5 3/8 in.; the second, painted with a similar pattern on the exterior but different colors, the interior with a pomegranate, peach and finger citron in iron red, also with a blue mark, dia: 5.5 in.
