WEDGWOOD CREAMWARE ‘CHINTZ’ PATTERN TEAPOT AND COVER
circa 1770-1775, unmarked, the decoration attributed to the workshop of David Rhodes, London, of globular form with cabbage molded spout, scroll handle and pierced ball finial, polychrome enameled with vertical ribbons, the central band with single flower diamond panels reserved on alternating red and black diaper triangular panels, h: 5 1/2 x l: 8 3/4 in.

C.1407&A-1924. Prior to becoming head of Wedgwood's enameling workshop in Chelsea in 1770, David Rhodes was a co-proprietor of a workshop in Leeds, named Robinson & Rhodes.
